This origami lamp has a flat spherical shape and the many folds enhance the light. In addition, the folds create a spectacle of cast shadows in the surfaces of the lamp itself.

We think the lamp resembles the bottom of a snowman and this is where the name Snowpuppe comes from. Just like a snowman, the lamp has a wooden button at the bottom from which the lamp hangs.

The folded paper creates an interesting shape that is nice to look at. Nice to sit down with and look at.

This lamp ensures that the light of your energy saving lamp or LED lamp will feel much more natural and cosy. The paper of the lamp gives the light warmth and softness.

During the day, the shadows on the lamp change due to the changing position of the sun.
When the light of the lamp is on, the folded surfaces provide an interesting play of light and shadow.

The final shape is folded by hand in our studio. Each origami lamp is therefore a combination of machine work and handcraft.

All lamps are supplied with a cord set from the design brand NUD Collection, consisting of a porcelain fitting, 3 meters of textile cord in the color of your choice and a white plastic ceiling cup.

The lamp is sent in a sturdy cardboard box, in which the lamp and the porcelain fitting are secured with sufficient filling material so that they cannot slide or be damaged.

All our lamps meet the CE mark and are therefore 100% safe according to the regulations of the European Union.

What is an energy saving lamp?
The lamp is only suitable for energy saving lamps or LED lamps. These heat up less than incandescent bulbs. Currently, only energy-saving or LED lamps are for sale in Europe.
An 8 Watt LED bulb can be compared to a 60 Watt incandescent bulb. 8 Watt is a suitable voltage for Studio Snowpuppe lamps.

An LED lamp is more environmentally friendly
We recommend LED lamps. These are healthier for nature than energy-saving lamps, because energy-saving lamps contain a fairly high amount of mercury.

The lamp is very easy to hang. Remove the lamp from the packaging and slide it over the LED lamp hanging from the ceiling according to the instructions in the manual.
